An interesting study has shown that exposure to prenatal pollution has been linked to lower IQ scores in children. Could this be the reason why the bootstraps theory, or the idea that one may pull themselves from nothing to something, is faulty? People who live in low-income neighborhoods are already at a disadvantage before birth? Read up on this article, hopefully there will be more studies to confirm this new find. This is just something to think about
